The CMI has published CMI_2024, an updated version of the Mortality Projections Model, and the accompanying The new version incorporates recent population mortality data and a number of method changes compared to CMI_2023, including introducing a 鈥渇itted overlay鈥� to allow the APCOI model to more closely fit to pandemic data and extending the APCOI model to have five period terms to allow the APCOI model to better reflect different period trends by age.
A separate on CMI_2024 has also been issued. This is publicly available.
The Mortality Projections Committee of the CMI will host a webinar on 17 July 2025 to discuss the results of CMI_2024. Further details are available in .
